About
At Henning Pilates & Rehabilitation our mission is to aid each individual we work with to live their best life. By combining Movement Therapy and Physical Therapy, we offer a unique and effective healing system. Through integrative practices and individualized treatment plans, we provide movement education, realignment, balance, pain management and most importantly mind/body connection. In doing these things we are able to positively affect each client not only in their bodies but in their overall well-being.
I feel lucky every day that I am able to do what I love; using my knowledge, education and caring nature to provide my clients therapeutic services that help body, mind, spirit, and soul.
What Makes Us Different
Our studio is a private space where each individual body is evaluated for its specific needs and every session is customized for that client. We use a combination of Pilates, Physical Therapy, fascial release and movement education to provide a therapeutic, total body movement session. Our studio’s goal is to encourage client education and participation so that each student is able to better understand proper body mechanics and form and apply these teachings to optimize their everyday activities.
Very different to Pilates at your local gym, Rehabilitation Pilates aims to move the body in a pain-free way, allowing each client to move more, re-align, restore proper body function, regain confidence and actually enjoy themselves! We differ from the traditional physical therapy program as well. Physical Therapists in a clinic setting are typically limited by insurance to only treat the specific area indicated on the patient’s prescription. Many times, the area of the body that is hurting is a result of a movement issue, instability or imbalance elsewhere in the body. Our individualized approach allows us to evaluate each client and treat the body as a whole, tackling muscle imbalances, flexibility issues as well as any acute injury each client may have. Our practitioners are skilled at reading the unique story your body tells, and treating everything from the bottom of your foot to the top of your head.
Who We Help?
Everyone!
Many of us have jobs where we are bound to a desk, sitting all day long, have a past or current injury that never feels “quite right”, or spend too much time on our electronics. These habitual postures cause discomfort, muscular imbalances and dysfunction from the neck all the way down to the feet. These muscle imbalances affect everything that we do. They can cause pain, poor posture, odd gait, frustration, fatigue and can eventually cause muscle pulls, strains or even tears. In each client’s individualized treatment program we address these issues, teach the How’s and Why’s, and get you back to feeling your absolute best.
“Claire’s knowledge of anatomy, movement and different movement disciplines is extraordinary! With her help, I was able to get full range of motion and flexibility back.”
